Job summary

BioLife is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist in USA - WA - Pasco. Most shifts run 4 to 6 hours daily, 3+ days per week, designed to fit your life.

You will greet donors, perform venipuncture and programming of plasmapheresis machines, and monitor donors throughout the donation. This role emphasizes customer service and quality, with duties that include setup, verification, operation, troubleshooting of equipment, stocking supplies, and recording donor data.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk/stand for full shift.
• Evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Ability to lift up to 5 lbs and occasional lifts up to 32–50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination and depth perception; ability to hear equipment.
• Prolonged glove wear due to exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
• 1+ year experience in customer or patient-facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors as they enter/exit the donor floor.
• Perform venipuncture and programming of plasmapheresis machines.
• Monitor donors during donation and manage donor reactions.
• Set up, verify, operate, and troubleshoot plasmapheresis equipment.
• Install, prime, and disconnect disposable sets on plasmapheresis machines.
• Stock supplies and assist with disposal.
• Record donor measurements in the system (DIS) and coordinate donor flow.
• Coordinate donors to the donor floor and compensate donors using the Debit Card system.
• Support center management in identifying operational improvements (5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen).
