Job summary

BioLife is seeking a part-time Plasma Donor Screener/Phlebotomist in the Indianapolis area. You will welcome donors, perform screening, record vitals, and support plasma center operations under the Plasma Center Manager. Shifts are evenings, weekends, and holidays to fit schedules.

Requirements include a high school diploma, ability to stand for shifts, and willingness to work flexible hours with glove-wearing precautions due to bloodborne pathogens. Training provided, with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Evenings, weekends, and holidays required/possible.
• Ability to lift up to 5 lbs and occasional heavier lifting.
• Fine motor coordination and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• Glove wear due to exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1).
• 1+ years minimum experience in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet donors and focus on donors while ensuring donor and team safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify operational opportunities for process improvements and implement changes per approved procedures.
• Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
