Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations in Houston. You will determine donor eligibility, review lab results, and manage donor safety under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance.

Open availability from 2PM to 10PM; part-time role with a broad benefits package. LPN/LVN licensure and CPR/AED are required, with prior clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nursing program completion.
• Current LPN or LVN license in the assignment state.
• CPR and AED certification is required.
• Fulfill state IV therapy requirements where applicable.
• Complete BioLife Medical Support Specialist FDA training.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent and medical history review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer complex issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed.
• Support vaccination programs (Hepatitis B, Seasonal Flu) for employees.
• Assist in workplace health and safety investigations when required.
