Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations in Beaumont, TX. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, and manage donor safety under Center Manager guidance.

The role requires nursing licensure (LPN/LVN), CPR/AED, and at least two years in a clinical setting, with FDA training completed as applicable. This is a part-time opportunity in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent to include graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: LPN or LVN.
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing SPE.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs; refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings.
• Support donor vaccination programs for employees as applicable; manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/ER; follow EHS guidance.
