Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC in Charleston, SC is seeking a Pick & Prep team member to prepare products and provide engaging guest experiences while operating at or above company standards.

You will actively engage guests, perform product preparation, and uphold sanitation and safety throughout the department, including knife skills and sensory product storytelling. This role supports excellent guest service and teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of Pick & Prep operations.
• Demonstrate ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and knife skills.
• Demonstrate effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to effectively communicate with, and take direction from supervision.
• Ability to work well with computers and scales.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage guests through product preparation, active sampling and suggestive selling.
• Demonstrate superior guest service at all times, including storytelling about products and highlighting Fresh, Healthy, Seasonal and Local benefits.
• Show knife skills to highlight Pick & Prep services.
• Operate the Pick & Prep area according to standards.
• Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain department sanitation and safety according to standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, stocking, merchandising and guest service as necessary.
• Perform PA announcements.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by management.
