Job summary

WellSpan Health in York, PA seeks a Physical Therapist at an entry to intermediate level to provide patient-centered care according to PT principles, collaborating with an interdisciplinary treatment team.

You will evaluate patients, plan individualized programs, supervise PTAs, educate clients, and ensure safe handling. Full-time hours, with weekend/holiday rotation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program and licensed upon hire.
• Basic Life Support certification required upon hire.
• Driver's license and driving record must meet policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patient using diagnostic and prognostic tests of muscle, nerve and function.
• Plans individualized PT programs including exercises and modalities.
• Directs and supervises patients in therapeutic exercises and functional training.
• Provides patient instruction for continued therapy at home.
• Coordinates PT activities with interdisciplinary team to meet goals.
• Trains medical staff in PT techniques and objectives.
• Uses safe patient handling for transfers and positioning.
• Supervises PTAs and Rehab Aides as required by PA act.
