Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a part-time plasma donor screener with phlebotomy responsibilities in Cedar Falls. You will handle donor screening, vital signs, and charting while using our Donor Information System.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire shift.
• Evenings, weekends and holidays work availability.
• Bend, stoop, crouch and reach above shoulders/knees.
• Lifting up to 5 lbs; occasional 32 lbs; rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor skills, depth perception, hearing equipment at distance.
• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens; glove wear in most tasks.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet donors while ensuring donor and team safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors; record vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use Donor Information System; prepare donor charts and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify opportunities for center process improvements using approved procedures.
• Support donors across diverse shifts including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
