Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, LP is offering a part-time role in Colorado Springs with shifts typically 4 to 6 hours, 3 or more days per week to fit a busy life. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and perform donor screening and phlebotomy while supporting center operations.

Every day you will interact with donors, ensure safety, and record donor information. A high school diploma is required, with evenings/weekends availability, and training is provided to get you started.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire shift.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• 90% of tasks require prolonged glove wear due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
• 1+ years in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet donors, focusing on donor safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors and record donor vital signs and finger sticks.
• Use Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify operational opportunities for center process improvements and initiate changes using approved procedures.
• Work a variety of shifts including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
