Job summary

BioLife is offering a part-time Plasma Donor Screener role in Pearland, TX. You will greet donors, screen them, and perform phlebotomy to support center operations, with shifts 4–6 hours, 3+ days per week. Training is paid, and flexibility is emphasized throughout the interview process.

You will use the Donor Information System to manage donor records, operate safely, and participate in a team focused on high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk/stand for the shift.
• Evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Bend, lean, stoop, crouch, reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Lift to 5 lbs; occasional lifts up to 32 lbs and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, hearing equipment from a distance.
• 90% of tasks require prolonged glove wear due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
• 1+ year experience in customer or patient facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet donors, and focus on donors while ensuring safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors; record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use Donor Information System; prepare donor charts; maintain records; coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify opportunities for center process improvements and initiate changes.
• Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
