Job summary

Mercy Springfield is seeking a Part-Time Pharmacy Technician I to join our pharmacy team. You will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, helping ensure safe, accurate, and timely medication services for patients.

Responsibilities include EPIC data entry, medication preparation, dispensing support, inventory management, and patient delivery after verification. A High School Diploma is required, with CPHT certification expected within six months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPHT certification within six months of hire is preferred.
• Active State Board of Pharmacy registration or willingness to obtain it by start date.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient and medication information into EPIC.
• Prepare medications for pharmacist review and dispensing.
• Count, package, and label medications accurately.
• Assist with sterile compounding preparation and training as applicable.
• Fill medication orders and prescriptions in a timely manner.
• Receive, stock, and maintain medication inventory.
• Deliver medications to patients and nursing units after pharmacist verification.
• Process returns and credits when appropriate.
