Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Pharmacy Tech I for PRN evening shifts to support operations under a licensed pharmacist. You will help with medication preparation, dispensing, inventory, and customer service, ensuring patient safety and accurate dispensing.

Entry-level role with supervision, perfect for developing pharmacy skills and contributing to efficient patient care. You will work in a fast-paced hospital environment, completing orientation and training, including EPIC training, to meet department

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active registration with State Board of Pharmacy or willingness to apply by day one.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred; may be required per state regulations.
• BP fingerprinting and FBI background checks may be required.

Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain accurate information in EPIC and other pharmacy systems.
• Retrieve, count, package, and prepare medications for pharmacist verification.
• Fill medication orders and prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
• Assist pharmacists with medication distribution and compliance with standards.
• Maintain medication storage, inventory, and quality assurance.
