Job summary

Mercy Springfield is seeking a Full-Time Pharmacy Technician I to support pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, and providing safe, accurate medication services. You will work under licensed pharmacist supervision and help maintain inventory, accuracy, and patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, active CPhT certification within six months, and willingness to obtain state registration with FBI background check.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification within six months of hire.
• Willingness to obtain State Board registration by first day and FBI background check.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient and medication data into EPIC and prepare medications.
• Dispense medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Maintain inventory and ensure secure storage of medications.
• Assist with sterile compounding training as applicable.
• Deliver medications to patients and nursing units after pharmacist verification.
• Support onboarding and training of new coworkers.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory procedures.
