Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Staff/Float Pharmacist to perform professional duties related to prescriptions. This onsite role will work 3 days per week at our Hampton, VA pharmacy and float 1 day per week to surrounding pharmacies.

Hours: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with lunch 12:00–12:30. Primary responsibilities include dispensing, patient counseling, and immunizations where allowed by state boards.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist degree required: PharmD or B.Pharmacy.
• Active Virginia pharmacist license.
• Certified immunizer or plan to become one within 3 months.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
• Provides information to customers about medications and their use.
• Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service.
• Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy.
• Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy.
• Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties.
