Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Staff/Float Pharmacist for our Hampton, VA site and nearby locations. The role is onsite three days per week with one float day to surrounding pharmacies, following a 8:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule and lunch from 12:00–12:30 PM.

Responsibilities include dispensing medications, advising patients, and maintaining a high standard of customer service while complying with state pharmacy laws. Immunization administration is supported where permitted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Current pharmacist license in Virginia.
• Certified immunizer or willing to become one within 3 months of hire.
• Access to reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
• Provides information to customers about medications and their use.
• Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service.
• Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy.
• Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy.
• Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties.
