The City of New Braunfels is seeking a customer-focused permit intake clerk in the Transportation & Construction Services Department. You will validate and process permit applications, explain policies, collect fees, and provide information to the public and city staff.

Under supervision, you will maintain records, reconcile receipts, schedule meetings, and support plan review with accuracy and courtesy to the community we serve.

Competenze

• High School diploma or GED equivalent; AND one (1) year of experience in technical support functions, preferably in a government environment; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License.
• Reading plans, permit applications and specifications; communicate technical requirements to various stakeholders.
• Municipal codes knowledge; records management and general office procedures.

• Provides Department information and customer service; acts as first point of contact.
• Reviews permit applications for completeness, collects fees, and forwards for review.
• Maintains permit log and records; prepares reports and surveys as required.
