The Peer Company in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a Part-Time Peer Support Specialist for Washington County BHRN. The role focuses on providing peer support, creating person-directed plans, and guiding individuals toward recovery goals in community settings.

Requires lived experience with recovery from SUD or mental health challenges, a high school diploma, and Oregon driver's license. This position involves daily local travel and is not benefited.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background checks are required; a criminal record does not automatically exclude.
• Pre-hire drug screening is required for all potential employees.
• MVR check required for driving positions; must meet driving standards.
• Experience: lived recovery with SUD/mental health for 24+ months.
• Licensure/Certification: PSS or CRM certification required or obtainable within 90 days; valid Oregon driver's license.
• Skills: strong written and verbal communication; independent work; diverse groups; tech skills; lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsabilités

• Provide 1:1 peer support aligned with program values.
• Collaborate with participants to create Person Directed Plans.
• Participate in regular peer support supervision sessions.
• Collaborate with service providers to support PDPs and recovery journeys.
• Attend meetings to communicate objectives and advocate for participants.
• Document services in program database and ensure compliance.
• Support participants in crisis and connect them to resources.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and meet performance expectations.
