LifeWorks NW is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to provide recovery-oriented services in Beaverton, OR, partnering with clients to build independence and social integration. The role emphasizes peer-led support, empowerment, and collaboration with care teams to promote stability and hope.

This position requires individuals who identify as current or former recipients of mental health services, hold a state-certified Peer Support Specialist credential, and are available for on-call shifts

Qualifications

• Self-identifies as a current or former recipient of mental health services.
• Holds a Peer Support Specialist certification from a State-approved training program.
• On-call availability including evenings, weekends, and possibly nights.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills and ability to provide culturally-competent treatment services to diverse client populations.
• Must have valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, safe driving record, and ability to meet driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Uses a Person-Centered approach to create and support treatment plan goals tailored to the individual.
• Models recovery principles and supports greater independence and wellness.
• Assists clients in identifying and utilizing natural community supports to reduce dependence on traditional mental health services.
• Works with clients to develop wellness and recovery goals.
• Connects clients to community resources to increase independent living and stability.
• May deliver medications and complete home visits to support medication management.
• Maintains confidentiality of client records.
• Educates and advocates for Peer Delivered Services and the Recovery Model.
• Responds to emails/voicemail and follows up on routine matters within 48 hours with urgent matters addressed sooner.
• Uses Feedback-Informed Treatment to assess and improve service fit.
