This position supports The Office of First‑Year Experience (FYE) in the supervision of 15‑25 peer mentors and two (2) - three (3) lead student coordinators each term/semester. The Peer Mentor Specialist meets one‑on‑one with each mentor every other week and is responsible for strategizing, planning and facilitating an ongoing, semester‑long, and weekly training meetings for the mentors. This position also works with various campus entities, including General Education stakeholders, specifically UNIV 101 Foundations for Student Success peer mentors, to help support student success by representing FYE and its programs.
