Job summary

Brigham Young University (BYU) is seeking a Part-Time Peer Mentor Supervisor for the First-Year Experience Office. This role oversees 15–25 peer mentors and 2–3 lead student coordinators, delivering biweekly supervision and ongoing weekly trainings to support first-year student success.

You will collaborate with General Education stakeholders, UNIV 101 programming, and campus partners to foster a transformative student experience and retention initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
• Experience in education, counseling, advising, student affairs, or related field is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor 15–25 peer mentors and 2–3 lead student coordinators.
• Meet with mentors biweekly for supervision and support.
• Plan and lead weekly trainings and professional development for mentors.
• Coordinate with General Education stakeholders and UNIV 101 programming.
• Serve as liaison between First-Year Experience (FYE) and campus partners.
• Identify interventions to improve first-year student retention and success.
