Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in education, counseling, advising, student affairs, or related field is preferred.
• Ability to supervise, mentor, and evaluate college students.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 15–25 peer mentors and 2–3 lead student coordinators.
• Meet individually with mentors for biweekly supervision.
• Plan and direct weekly professional development meetings for new and returning peer mentors.
• Assist with recruitment and hiring of new student employees.
• Participate in meetings with General Education stakeholders and UNIV 101 programs.
• Support, design, and implement interventions to improve first‑year student success.
