Emerald Resource Group is seeking a part-time Payroll Specialist to oversee payroll processing and support day-to-day operations. The role starts on-site in Broadview Heights, OH for training (first 3 months) and then shifts to fully remote, with an hourly pay of $20–$25 and a flexible 5–10 hour weekly schedule.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of payroll processing experience, proficiency in QuickBooks, and familiarity with Paycom or comparable platforms.

• Proficiency with QuickBooks and payroll-related accounting.
• Experience with Paycom, ADP, Paychex or Gusto.
• Knowledge of payroll taxes and reporting.

Mansioni

• Process accurate and timely payroll, including regular hours, overtime, deductions, adjustments, and payroll approvals.
• Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, pay-rate changes, and deductions.
• Manage payroll transactions and employee information using Paycom or a comparable payroll processing platform.
• Prepare payroll journal entries, reconcile payroll accounts, and maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks.
• Review and verify federal, state, and local payroll tax withholdings, supporting required payments and filings.
• Assist with quarterly and year-end payroll reporting, including W-2s, 1099s, and related documentation.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve payroll discrepancies to ensure accurate employee compensation.
• Respond professionally to employee questions regarding paychecks, deductions, adjustments, and payroll-related concerns.
• Maintain organized, confidential, and audit-ready payroll records.
• Coordinate with management and accounting personnel to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and efficient processing.
