Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Patrol Driver in Reston, VA to safeguard clients across aerospace/defense locations. The role blends unarmed patrols with customer service, requiring a valid driver’s license and a professional presence.

The schedule is flexible, supporting multiple shift options. Responsibilities include patrolling, access control verification, incident reporting, and timely communication with site contacts.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required per policy.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening required by policy.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and authorized contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, reporting unusual conditions and potential security concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, and deliveries per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, notifying appropriate contacts and responders.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while observing site rules and confidentiality.
