OrthoCarolina Pineville is seeking a Patient Services Specialist to greet patients, collect and verify information, and enter data into EPIC to ensure timely processing of claims.

This part-time role (Mon-Thu, 9am-2pm) supports the Practice Manager with cashier duties, appointment scheduling, and routine patient communications.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and preferably some healthcare office experience, plus familiarity with insurance and HIPAA basics.

Qualifications

• High school graduate and/or GED required.
• Experience in a medical clinic setting preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Greet patients and collect/verify information for claims.
• Enter patient data into EPIC accurately and timely.
• Answer phone calls, direct inquiries, and schedule appointments.
• Handle cashier duties including payments and co-pays as directed.

Under general supervision and according to prescribed procedures, greets patients, prepares forms, collects, verifies and enters patient information into Centricity necessary for the timely and accurate processing of patient claims. Prepares paper work necessary for the patient visit. Answers incoming phone calls and directs calls, makes appointments, performs cashier duties as directed by the Practice Manager to include posting of charges, collection of co-payments/co-insurance and balances due. Follows process for release of medical information and FMLA/disability forms completion as requested.
