Job summary

OrthoCarolina Ballantyne is seeking a Part-time Patient Services Specialist to join our team. The role supports greeting patients, collecting and verifying information, and entering data into Centricity to ensure timely processing of claims.

The position also involves answering calls, scheduling appointments, and cashier duties including posting charges and collecting co-pays and balances. A high school diploma (or higher) and 1 year of clinic experience are preferred, with Epic/EMR experience

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of health insurance processes and terminology.
• Experience with Epic/EMR systems a plus; Centricity experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and prepare forms for visits.
• Verify and enter patient information into Centricity for claim processing.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist with cashier duties (charges, co-pays, balances).
• Assist with release of information and basic administrative tasks as directed.
