Job summary

UW Medicine seeks a Patient Services Specialist 2 to support staff, providers and patients with efficient communications and scheduling. This on-site role includes assisting patients with MyChart and coordinating demographics, while ensuring high-quality patient service in a busy outpatient clinic.

This part-time 20-hour-per-week position runs Monday to Friday for up to ten months, with convenient access to public transit. Telework is not available and teamwork across the clinic is essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• One year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience.
• Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Providing staff, providers, and patients with an efficient system of internal and external communications, including phone answering and call triaging
• Scheduling provider appointments
• Obtaining patient demographics, financial, and clinical information
• Assisting patients with MyChart registration, navigation and general use
• Partnering with all members of the clinic team to prioritize patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery
• Other duties as requested
