Job summary

UW Medicine – Montlake General Surgery Clinic in Seattle is seeking a Patient Services Specialist 2 for a 50% FTE, part-time day shift from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. The on-site role focuses on coordinating communications for patients, staff and providers in a busy clinic.

You will schedule appointments, gather patient demographics and financial information, triage calls, and work with the clinic team to deliver exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent AND one year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience OR an equivalent combination of education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide staff, providers, and patients with an efficient system of internal and external communications, including phone answering and call triaging.
• Scheduling provider and ancillary service appointments
• Obtaining patient demographic, financial, and clinical information
• Partnering with all members of the clinic team to prioritize patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery
• Other duties as requested
