Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK is seeking a part-time Patient Services Specialist to greet patients and visitors and to answer calls. This role is the first point of contact, delivering friendly, accurate information and guiding guests through the registration and check-in process.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of customer service experience or completed Providence internship, with the ability to navigate electronic medical records and basic billing systems.

Qualifications

• 1 year customer service experience, or Providence internship completed.
• Basic experience with electronic medical records and/or computerized billing systems.
• Medical terminology experience.
• Rooming position: CNA, non-credentialed MA, EMT experience, or similar experience.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for patients or visitors in person or by phone.
• Provide exceptional customer service to maintain a high level of patient satisfaction.
• Assist with check-in, scheduling, and patient flow as needed.
• Collaborate with care teams to ensure smooth patient experience.
