Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids is seeking a part-time Registrar to initiate patient records, verify information, and complete registrations with care for privacy and accuracy.

You will contact insurance providers as needed, support pre-registration, and collaborate with nurses and staff to ensure smooth admissions. A high school diploma and at least one year of admission processing experience at Mercy or a similar hospital are preferred.

• Initiates the patient record by interviewing patients or a representative.
• Ensures the registration is complete and follows up if needed.
• Contacts insurance companies when required for admission certification.
