Job summary

Akumin is hiring a part-time Patient Coordinator for our Boca Raton facility. You will greet patients, register them, verify insurance, and collect payments at time of service while ensuring accurate documentation.

The role supports clinical staff and maintains organized work areas, with opportunities for bilingual Spanish speakers. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, basic computer literacy, and the ability to multitask across systems and locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR Certification must be obtained prior to hire.
• Valid state driver's license may be required.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, customers and visitors in person and over the phone.
• Register patients in various systems.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorization when needed.
• Collect monies for time-of-service patient responsibilities.
• Prepare medical records and ensure accurate documentation of patient visits.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and assist in patient transport as needed.
