Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Knowledge of age-appropriate care for patients.
• Up-to-date knowledge of patient care procedures and standards.
• Proficient interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to maintain concentration amid interruptions and noise.
• Ability to exercise judgment and initiative in problems.
• Manage a high workload and set priorities effectively.
• Knowledge of infection control principles and PPE.
• Physically capable of demanding, repetitive movements.
• Able to read and perform basic math.
• Organized, detail-oriented, with good hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide drinks and assist with meal ordering for patients.
• Encourage walking and mobility to support recovery.
• Assist with baths and personal care as needed.
• Provide clean linens and gowns to patients.
• Obtain vital signs and report abnormalities to the RN.
• Maintain patient safety with gait belts and alarms.
• Work closely with bedside RN and charge nurse.
