Job summary

Indiana University Health in Indianapolis is seeking a full-time Patient Care Technician (PCA) to support the bedside care team and enhance patient experiences.

You will assist with daily living activities, help with meals and mobility, provide clean linens, and respond to patient needs under the supervision of the registered nurse.

A caring bedside manner, reliability, and ability to work in a fast-paced hospital are essential; BLS certification is required and development opportunities exist.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA or IU Health PCA program.
• Ability to assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain concentration under pressure and manage time.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility for designated patients.
• Support patient care team under the direction of the RN, including observing and reporting changes.
• Maintain patient surroundings in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
