Job summary

Rogers Behavioral Health in Wisconsin is seeking an Intake Specialist for a part-time 0.5 FTE role. You will be the first point of contact, greet patients and families, gather insurance data, explain admissions steps, and input information into Cerner.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, support the admissions process, verify insurance, and assist at other Rogers locations as needed. A strong focus on HIPAA compliance and patient experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Welcomes patients and families to Rogers Behavioral Health.
• Educates admitted patients about admissions process and required forms.
• Verifies and inputs medical, insurance and demographic information accurately.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families at admission.
• Explain admissions forms and obtain signatures.
• Register patients in Cerner and ensure documents are scanned and labeled correctly.
• Perform initial safety checks and manage belongings as needed.
• Assist with insurance verification and scheduling for unscheduled admissions.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary team for documentation and reimbursement.
