Job summary

Rogers Behavioral Health in Wisconsin is hiring an Intake Specialist to serve as a patient advocate and help access life-changing care. You will work within a collaborative team including physicians, intake specialists, and other professionals to connect patients with Rogers programs.

The role requires strong customer service, a high school diploma, and experience in health care settings. Bachelor's degree is preferred, and you will participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday rotations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in human services related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a health care setting strongly preferred.
• Customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate incoming inquiries to determine and explain the next step to accessing care at Rogers.
• Complete admission assessments with potential patients and/or their representatives.
• Explain admitting processes and policies related to bed assignment and capacity.
• Gather demographic and insurance information of potential patients and/or responsible representatives.
• Understand how to utilize and explain Rogers’ contracted payor listing.
• Adhere to department standards and ensure quality of call and productivity.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external facilities/referents as it relates access to care.
• Participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday schedule as assigned.
