Job summary

Arlington Orthopedics Associates in Addison, TX, is hiring a part-time patient access clerk (three days per week) to greet patients, assist with check-in/out, and support call center functions.

You will receive cross-training across front desk roles, ensuring HIPAA compliance and teamwork in a collaborative clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED and/or training or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of healthcare front desk experience preferred.
• Travel to all TSC locations required; cross-training in different patient access functions.

Responsibilities

• Train in all front desk areas: check in/out, chart auditing, call center functions.
• Provide excellent patient service by listening and responding to needs.
• Relay information to internal staff and ensure accurate appointment entry and check-out processes.
• Participate in meetings and educational activities; maintain neat work area.
• Comply with HIPAA procedures; perform other duties as assigned.

Part-Time- 3 days a week

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties of the position include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Key Functions:

• Has to train in all areas: Check in/out, Chart Auditing, Call Center functions.
• Provides excellent customer service to patients by listening and appropriately serving patients.
• Contributes to an overall positive work atmosphere through actions and attitude.
• Relays relevant information to the appropriate internal staff.
• Follows practice procedures for appointment entry, check-in and/or check-out processes.
• Participates in office meetings and educational activities.
• Maintains work area in neat and orderly manner.
• Complies with HIPAA procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience: High School Diploma, or general education degree (GED), or one to three months relates experience, and/or training or equivalent combination or education and experience. Must have 1-2 years of healthcare front desk experience.
