Job summary

North Texas Orthopedics & Spine Center in Grapevine, TX is seeking a dedicated Patient Access Clerk to join our team. This full-time role supports patient intake, schedules, and HIPAA-compliant data entry, delivering courteous service at every touchpoint.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, basic office experience, and a willingness to train across locations. Travel to all OTX locations is required; cross-training occurs across patient access functions.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience.
• Travel to all OTX locations is required.
• Cross-Training in different Patient Access functions is required.

Responsibilities

• Train in all areas: Check in/out, Chart Auditing, Call Center functions.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients by listening and appropriately serving patients.
• Contribute to a positive work atmosphere through actions and attitude.
• Relay relevant information to the appropriate internal staff.
• Follow practice procedures for appointment entry, check-in and/or check-out processes.
• Participate in office meetings and educational activities.
• Maintain work area in neat and orderly manner.
• Comply with HIPAA procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
