Job summary

Advocate Health in North Carolina seeks a part-time Patient Access & Care Team member to support calling, scheduling, and patient data tasks. Hours: 24 per week, with a training period of approximately 4 weeks, Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, plus regular schedule M–T 8:00–14:00 and W–F 8:00–12:00.

Responsibilities include linking patient experience between PACT and the practice site, verifying insurance information, and providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Customer service knowledge and ability to work with diverse patients.
• Basic computer and desktop software skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem solving and organization.
• Ability to use a multi-line telephone system.
• Attention to detail and data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Link patient experience between PACT and practice site using policies.
• Assist inbound calls; make outbound calls when needed.
• Recognize complex problems and escalate for resolution.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate cancellations/reschedules.
• Verify demographics and insurance information; update records.
• Triage calls with RN when needed.
• Provide customer service per departmental standards.
• Support marketing databases and reporting.
