Job summary

Vancouver Public Schools in Washington state seeks a paraeducator to support students under the supervision of certificated teachers. The role is 3 hours per day, 9 months per year, with non-exempt status.

You will assist with classroom activities, manage behavior under teacher guidance, and help create a safe learning environment. A high school diploma or GED is required; an associate's degree or ParaPro assessment may be preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; further college credit preferred.
• Associate's degree or 72 quarter credits / 48 semester credits or ParaPro score 455+.
• One year of related experience with children in an educational setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution abilities.
