Job summary

Evergreen Public Schools Hollingsworth Academy in Vancouver, WA is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator to support students under the supervision of the Special Education Teacher and Principal. The role requires providing individual and small-group instructional support, maintaining student data and implementing behavior plans in a collaborative setting.

Hours are 7.5 hours daily with a 30-minute lunch, 190 school days per year.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet one or more of: passing ETS ParaPro score of 455+, or an Associate degree or higher, or 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at 100 level or higher, or complete a Paraeducator Apprenticeship Program.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Special Education teacher in supervising elementary and/or secondary students.
• Provide one-to-one and small group instruction to meet IEP goals.
• Maintain data on student behavior and academics; administer and score tests.
• Implement behavioral management strategies as outlined by the teacher.
