Job summary

Discovery Mood is seeking a Behavioral Health Tech for overnight shifts (11pm-8am, Saturdays and Sundays) in Florida. The role focuses on patient safety, daily care, and support within the treatment program.

CPI/CPR certifications and a valid driver’s license are required within specified timelines. The position emphasizes crisis intervention, patient interactions, and collaboration with nursing staff, with compensation ranging from $19.00 to $22.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Two or more years experience working within the mental health, substance use or eating disorder field required
• Valid and unrestricted State Driver’s License
• Must obtain CPI certification within 90 days of hire, training provided
• Must obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid, along with Food Handling/Safety certification within 30 days of hire, training provided
• Residential Treatment: In states where permissible, passing medicine may be required
• Eating Disorder Division: Recovery from eating disorder if in recovery may be required

Responsibilities

• Adheres to all policies and procedures
• Provides exemplary customer service to patients
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information
• Facilitates patient daily needs per the program schedule
• Assists Nursing staff with duties as directed
• Leads daily groups as directed by facility leadership
• Completes shift notes and documentation
• Provides transportation services as needed (pre-qualified to drive)
• Oversees safety and crisis response as appropriate
