Job summary

Discovery Behavioral Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Tech to support patients through admission to discharge at our Montverde, FL facility. The role emphasizes patient safety, group facilitation, and collaboration with the clinical team to implement treatment plans.

The position requires 2+ years in mental health or related fields, CPI/CPR/First Aid certs, and a valid driver's license. A part-time, overnight schedule is offered with on-site work and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher preferred
• Two or more years experience in mental health, substance use or eating disorders
• Valid and unrestricted State Driver's License
• Must obtain CPI within 90 days of hire
• CPR, AED and First Aid certifications within 30 days of hire
• Food Handling/Safety certification within 30 days of hire
• Substance Use Division: minimum 1 year sobriety
• Eating Disorder Division: minimum 1 year recovery from eating disorder

Responsibilities

• Adheres to all DBH policies and procedures.
• Follows directions as given by facility leadership.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information and records.
• Facilitates patient daily needs per the program schedule.
• Assists Nursing staff with duties as directed and supports patient supervision.
• Recognizes and responds to crisis situations and provides interventions as needed.
• Documents shift notes and group notes by end of shift.
• Maintains safe, organized environment and basic housekeeping duties.
• Facilitates and leads daily groups as directed by leadership.
• Attends staff meetings and trainings.
• Provides transportation services when pre-qualified to drive a company vehicle.
• Supports patient during admission and discharge processes.
• Complies with the CFD and Center for Discovery treatment program guidelines if applicable.
• Residential Treatment: passing medicine may be required where permissible; training provided.
