Descanso Gardens Foundation is seeking an Event Coordinator for part-time, non-exempt work with a variable schedule up to 25 hours per week. The role includes coordinating day-of events, overseeing setup, load-in/load-out, and on-site guest services, with evening and weekend hours expected.

A valid California driver’s license is preferred, and Google Sheets/Docs proficiency is valued. Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of customer service and event coordination experience, strong

• 1 year customer experience required.
• 1 year event production/coordination experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Highly developed organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Valid California driver’s license preferred.

Responsabilités

• Serve as onsite program lead during events in the absence of staff.
• Oversee event setup, furniture placement, AV equipment, and vendor coordination.
• Coordinate load-in/load-out, greet vendors, and manage guest flow.
• Provide on-site customer service and address participant needs during events.
