Qualifications

• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state.
• Continuing education requirements must be met.
• Experience supervising COTA and aides.
• Proficient in documentation and infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine OT needs and rehab potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and independence.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and aides in resident care.
• Communicate with physicians, nursing staff, residents, and families about progress and discharge planning.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation per policies and payer requirements.
• Ensure a safe treatment environment with infection control and equipment safety measures.
• Educate residents and families on home exercise programs and fall prevention.
• Contribute to quality assurance and rehabilitation program development.
