Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staff Occupational Therapist to evaluate residents, design and monitor treatment plans, and oversee OT support staff in a post-acute setting. You will collaborate with physicians, nursing, and families to ensure optimal recovery and safe discharge planning.

You will ensure compliant documentation, participate in trainings, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives while maintaining a patient-centered approach and high professional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy and state licensure.
• Masters or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Proficient computer skills for clinical documentation and record systems.
• Continuing education requirements per state practice.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine OT needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and independence.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and students.
• Communicate with physicians, nursing staff, residents, and families about progress and discharge planning.
• Provide in-services and training for facility staff as needed.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation in accordance with policies and payer requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment and promote safety and infection control.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and program development.
