Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is seeking an experienced Operating Room nurse for a part-time position in the Ambulatory Surgery Center.

The role requires 1–2 years as an OR circulator, with no weekends, holidays, or call, and offers a flexible schedule of 1 shift per week depending on case volume. Responsibilities include nursing assessments, care planning, patient education, and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure safe ambulatory services for pediatric patients.

Qualifications

• Pediatric experience is preferred.
• Current State of Arizona RN license or compact state license with multistate privileges.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Provider required.
• PALS/PEARS may be required within 90 days for some departments.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments across age groups and conditions.
• Implement and coordinate plans of care, educate patients and families, and manage transitions of care.
• Evaluate patient responses, adjust diagnoses and plans, and document in the medical record.
