Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is seeking an experienced operating room nurse for a PRN position in the same-day Surgery Clinic in Phoenix. Must have 2+ years as an OR circulator and Perioperative 101 training.

Position offers 1 shift per week with no weekends, no holidays, and no on-call requirements. Acute care includes ortho, eyes, general, urology, gyn, plastics and dental cases. The RN must hold Arizona licensure, be BLS certified, and be ready to support pediatric surgical patients

Qualifications

Two year (ADN) or four year (BSN) degree in nursing or a Diploma Nursing program.
Current RN license in Arizona or a compact state, or eligibility for licensure per Arizona law.

Responsibilities

Completes nursing assessment across age and developmental groups and develops a care plan.
Implements plans per regulatory and organizational policies and provides health education.
Coordinates care and transitions within the organization and with families to ensure positive outcomes.
Advocates for patients and families, guiding them through ambulatory services and community resources.
Evaluates patient understanding and response, documents in the medical record, and modifies plans as needed.
Supports safe patient care and identifies opportunities for quality improvements.
