Phoenix Children's Hospital in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking an experienced Operating Room nurse for a PART TIME role in its same day surgery clinic. This role requires 2+ years of OR circulator experience and will involve at least one shift per week with no weekends, holidays, or on-call.
The nurse will coordinate care with the healthcare team, provide health education, and ensure adherence to pediatric regulatory standards while maintaining patient safety and quality of care.

This position requires an EXPERIENCED Operating Nurse, who has a minimum of 2 years working as a circulator in an operating room. In this role, you will work a minimum of 1 shift per week, depending on volume of cases. This is the perfect position for an experienced OR nurse who doesn't want the commitment of a full time job, but wants to keep up his/her skills, and has a passion for kids! The surgery clinic specializes in ortho, eyes (muscles/cataracts), general surgery, urology, gynecology, plastics and dental procedures. The best part about this role is that there are NO Weekends, NO Holidays and NO Call!!! MUST have 1 - 2 YEARS Operating Room experience.
This position, in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient, and family, coordinates and promotes patient health utilizing evidence-based practice in the delivery of professional nursing care across the care continuum. This position advocates for the patient and family adhering to nursing and medical plans of care, regulatory standards, and organizational values.
Provides health education related to health promotion and the management of acute and chronic health conditions including skills required to maintain and restore health.
Coordinates care and manages care transitions within the organization and the community, working collaboratively with the healthcare team, patient, and family to promote positive outcomes and prevent complications.
Advocates for patients and families, offering support and guidance related to navigating ambulatory services and processes, resource management, and community-based services. Partners with patients and families to establish realistic goals and expectations.
Supervises patient care activities of assigned team members and delegates activities appropriate to knowledge, skill, and competency. Provides timely feedback and review of care delivery to ensure maintenance of patient safety, infection control procedures, therapeutic environment, and team members performance level, maintaining confidentiality as appropriate.
