Hoot Reading is expanding its teacher network to deliver evidence-based literacy instruction to K-12 students online. You will conduct 1:1 Structured Literacy lessons through a video platform and support learners across North America with flexible hours.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in education and has 2+ years of K-6 teaching experience, with phonics and reading fundamentals. A reliable laptop, internet, and quiet workspace are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education required.
• 2+ years of K-6 teaching with phonics and reading fundamentals.
• Tech-savvy with reliable laptop, internet and quiet workspace.
• Maintains professionalism while balancing priorities and diverse student needs.
• Experience supporting English learners is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 Structured Literacy lessons via videocall on a tech platform.
• Support students 1:1 during school hours, afterschool, or at home.
• Create inclusive learning environments and adapt to student needs.
