Job summary
Hoot Reading is seeking an Online Reading Teacher to deliver 1:1 reading instruction remotely to U.S. students. The role leverages a Science of Reading curriculum and classroom-ready technology, with lessons conducted during standard school hours.
You will join a network of teachers delivering instruction during school hours, maintaining consistent availability across weekdays, and supporting students with phonics, decoding, and reading fundamentals from home.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education (or equivalent) required.
- 2+ years of K-6 teaching experience with phonics, decoding and reading fundamentals.
- Tech-savvy with a reliable laptop, internet, and quiet workspace.
- Being bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 reading lessons using the curriculum and tech tools.
- Support students during school hours through school-district partnerships.
- Coordinate scheduling with families to align with standard school hours.
