Job summary

Hoot Reading is seeking an Online Literacy Educator to deliver 1:1 Structured Literacy lessons over video in our remote, part-time network. You will work with K–6 students, meeting them where they are in decoding and reading fundamentals.

The ideal candidate has a teaching degree, 2+ years of experience, tech readiness, and the ability to create inclusive learning environments. Availability aligns with 8:00 AM–4:00 PM CT, Monday–Thursday, with possible evening hours. Start Date: Sep 7, 2026.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education (or equivalent) is required.
• 2+ years of K–6 teaching experience with a strong grasp of phonics, decoding, and reading fundamentals.
• Tech-savvy, with a reliable laptop, internet, and quiet workspace.
• Maintains professionalism and effectiveness while working with competing priorities and diverse student needs.
• Creates inclusive learning environments where students feel respected, valued, and supported.
• Demonstrates resilience and flexibility when addressing complex academic, behavioral, and social-emotional challenges.
• Experience supporting English learners and multilingual students is a plus.
