Qualifications

• Post secondary education or training in medical office administration preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting including patient registration, medical office scheduling, or front desk/admissions required.
• 0-2 years of experience in a customer service role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients and families to address questions and provide courteous, timely assistance.
• Regulates schedules based on procedure requirements, physician availability, and staffing needs.
• Schedules patient procedures and pre-registers by obtaining accurate demographic information.
• Verifies insurance eligibility using designated applications and secures required authorizations.
• Collects and records patient financial responsibility estimates and co-pays when applicable.
• Maintains registration documentation and ensures complete medical records.
• Communicates operative reports daily to physician offices and staff.
